Rome, Ga. Photographer: ~{Look at Me Now: The Beautiful Candy}~

Meeting Candy was my honor and privilege.  The Exchange Club of Rome were honoring Candy for her strength and determination in making it through a VERY devastating time in her and her family's life; the loss of husband, father, and best friend.

The Exchange Club of Rome asked Lamar and I if we'd be interested in doing a Look at Me Now Makeover/Session with Candy and of course we jumped on the opportunity.

We were excited before we heard her story, but afterward we, Lamar and I, both felt downright honored to have been asked to do this for such a special lady!!  We were there to present/ surprise her with the award and to witness the outpouring of kindness and help offered by many members of the Exchange Club.

When Candy and her sweet girls entered the club, I'm not sure what they were expecting. To tell her story and eat a nice lunch, maybe.  But when it was all said and done, she received and standing ovation, an award, promises of help and supplies for  the repairs needed on their home... and a fun afternoon with me and my sweet friend, Lamar Clark of DeSoto Beauty Shoppe on Broad Street.

So enjoy just a few from our lovely afternoon with the beautiful Miss Candy

I think Candy thought I was crazy when I told her to dig through her clutch like she's looking for something.  LOL... but SEE... cute! ; )

I loved her expression in this one. ; )

Rome, Ga. Anything and Everything Photographer: Look at Me Now {The Stunning Clavel}!

"Oh, Clavel, Clavel, how beautiful you are...."  Okay, so it's not a song... but it should BE!!!

AS ALWAYS... I had a SUPER fun time playing around with Lamar Clark of DeSoto Beauty Shoppe and Geri Cheeley of The Clotheshorse as we primped up, dolled up, and dressed up the stunning Clavel!

Clavel is originally from around the Jordan area of the Middle East, (I have no idea what I just said, but you get the general area. ; )  which accounts for her beautiful coloring and features and her "I'm so jealous of" accent!  She was a real treat to photograph.  After snapping shots for a few minutes I just had to ask her if she had ever modeled.  She was such a natural in front of my camera.  She seemed to know exactly what to put where for the best results.  Clavel has never modeled before, but said she watches the shows. ; )  Well, girl, you missed your calling!!

Hope you enjoy a few of my faves!! Have a great Tuesday!
HUGS... and ciao Bella!

I feel really bad about putting the before shot up here... but that's all we had.  But you can still see the great transformation!  Gorgeous... inside and out!  Lamar... you are amazing!
All of these great outfits came from The Clotheshorse and Geri, owner, customized all the outfits to suit Clavels, shape, size, and taste.  Great lady.  If you've not gone into the Clotheshorse since Geri's taken ownership... you are missing a real treat!

Seriously gorgeous!
Geri carries the CUTEST hats in The Clotheshorse... packed and ready for Steeple Chase!  The bottom one was my absolute FAVE!!!

Oh my goodness.  I had SO MUCH FUN photographing these two gorgeous gals!!  I know you'll remember Cindy Carnes from her session this past fall.  Well, let me introduce you to her partner in crime, Amy Hutchins.  Cindy and Amy are both stylist at Seven Hills Salon just off Broad Street.

You'll be seeing their beautiful faces larger than life, very soon, up on a billboard promoting their businesses.

Thanks gals for asking me to do this.  I do believe Promo sessions have become my fave! : )

Rome, Ga. Gorgeous People Photographer: ~{Cindy the Gorgeous}~

YES! YES! YES!!!!
The completion of this album marks the third album I completed this week!  Woo hoo!  (I know... I'm a slow poke.  But seriously, that's good for me! : ) I was determined to get all of these finished up so I could put full concentration into FALL!!! : ) Now... on to CINDY!!

Photographing Cindy and her scissors was So Much Fun!!  First off... she is such a sweet heart!  She always speak in a calm and quiet voice. I can't imagine her ever raising it... even though she has four children (two of which are the cutest twin girls you'll ever see).  She is INCREDIBLY photogenic.  I seriously don't think Cindy could take a bad picture.. seriously!!!  She knew what she wanted, so she came with some great ideas... and didn't mind one bit waiting around for me to "perfect" a few of my own.

So, I hope you enjoy just a few from the GORGEOUS Cindy Carnes, Seven Hills Salon and Spa.

HUGS... and ciao bella!

Somebody's done hit that girl with a GORGEOUS stick!!  WoW!!!

This is a picture of Cindy's father, wearing her mom's wig and posing with her. : )  This picture means a lot to sweet Cindy.  She lost her mom just a few weeks before this session... and her father a few years before that.  Pray for sweet Cindy.  If you notice her tattoos... the ones in writing.  They are in her mother and fathers handwriting... their favorite Bible verses. : )

When photographing a cosmetologist... you might as well throw some hair spray in the mix!! : )  I wish you could have seen us trying to get that spray to.... spray properly... with the wind blowing!  LOL!!  On second thought... I'm glad you didn't! : /

Rome, Ga. Headshot Photographer: "Look at Me Now" ~Terisa

If you've ever had the privilege of meeting Miss Terisa at Wal-mart's photo center, then you've already fallen in love with this precious lady!!  Just so reassuring and positive... and thankful!  She thanked Trish and I over and over again, telling us what a blessing we are.  No better praise than that!

Miss Trisha, of DeSoto Beauty Shopee, too, is SUCH a SWEET HEART!!  I LOVE working with Trish... and Lamar. (Can't leave him out. ; )

So enjoy just a few "Before's and After's".  Terisa... you look Ama-za- zing!!!

Rome, Ga. Photographer: The Farm

I have so enjoyed getting know Dixie and her husband, Lee, owners of The Farm or what used to be known as Zion's Farm. They are such sweet people and so down to earth. I loved having the opportunity to traipse around the Farm with Dixie, her in her cowboy boots and driving around in a jeep. FUN!

We had talked a few times about me doing some promo photos for her website and advertisement and were finally able to get together the first Saturday of this month. And what a beautiful sunny April day it was!!

These are just a few of my faves! More to come on a later blog showing off one of my brides that stood in as our model that day!  For more information about The Farm and all that it offers, click here.

Enjoy! Ciao Bellas!

I absolutely adore this next building.
"Stone House"

Okay, so I have a fetish for antique door knobs!   But aren't they pretty! = )

One of the cabins... I love this sun porch!!

That french drain is so NEAT!  I'd love to just sit on the swing on a rainy day and listen to the water trickle by! = )

These guys didn't appreciate me invading their privacy, but eventually they warmed up to me. : )

Some One Like Me- Hot off the press!!!

As some of  you may remember from an earlier blog, last year I designed the book cover for my aunt's (Dee Taft) novel, Someone Like Me!  WELL... it's finally here!! Yay!!

I personally CAN NOT wait to read it in it's entirety!  During the planning days, she sent me a synopsis just so I could get a feel for the book.  Talk about a tease!

Oh, let me just go ahead and recap that whole story!  I'm still amazed by it!

Aunt Dee had called and told me about her latest book project and wanted to know if I would be interested in designing the front cover.  Of course, I was!  I'm always up for a new challenge!  But at the time I was clueless to what I wanted it to look like!

Well... SEVERAL months passed... and I still wasn't able to put too much thought into it before hitting the proverbial brick wall.  Then one morning, as I was making my bed, it just hit me out of the blue! ( I wasn't even thinking about my aunt or the book at the time)  I could see it as plain as day, exactly how the cover should look!!  So I quickly ran my ideas past her.  She was as excited about it as I was!

Next, I dressed my youngest daughter (yep... that's my Lou Lou on the cover) in a little sundress... then very sloppily put her hair into little doggie ears... we were pouring on pitiful!!  Then grabbed my camera and took off looking for the perfect location.

I knew that many of the mill houses in Lindale were looking really shabby, so that was my first spot to check out... and we were in luck.  Found an old, run down... abandoned mill house.  The plus was that the yard was all grown up too, with a few patches of wild flowers.  I have to laugh when I think about what those neighbors must have thought of me and my Lou playing around in this run down shack!!  Lydia was putting on the pitifulness... (my spell check tells me that's not a word... I beg to differ! ; )  that's for sure!

So... now that you've got the long story I hope you'll stop by my beautiful auntie's blog site for more information about her book!!  And ORDER it!! You won't be sorry!

Click here to visit Dee Taft's blog site!

Also, all photos on her site were taken by Bella Faccia Photography!  So you know you don't want to miss that! = ) Te he!

Here's a few more from the book cover shoot that didn't make the cover, but I LOVED anyway! = )
Enjoy and ciao Bella's!

Pitiful... I tell you!

My sweet Lou Lou! = )

I just LOVED the way all the layering turned out on this one!!
