Rome, Ga Child Photographer: Jude, 9 months BIG

I got the saddest message from Jude's mommy last month. She was telling me that they had moved back to their hometown in another state, BUT that they were GOING to finish up his first year with me.  Happy DAY! :)   So Friday evening, this precious family loaded the car with the kids, drove six and a half hours, to be with me on a very cold Saturday morning.  That means so much to me!!
Thank you guys for making my year!!!

I can't get over how big this baby girl is getting!!  Just as chunky and squishy as any baby girl should be. With eyes as blue and as large as the sky!!  

Miss Kynlee wasn't feeling good AT ALL when she came to see me.  She was the first to christen my floor with... well, I hope you're feeling better sweet girl!!

LOVE this session.  LOVE this location!  LOVE THIS FAMILY!!

Remember on the last post, when I said that my sweetie pie photog friend recommended the Christmas tree farm, well this is the very same friend!!

LeAnne and I have talked back and forth via Facebook for a few years, (I can't even remember who initiated it!) but it's been over the last year that we really formed a friendship. YAY for FRIENDSHIPS!

We drove all the way to Cartersville for this YUMMY location that LeAnne picked out!  I'm so glad she introduced it to me! I can't wait to use it again!!

Oh, now this was a SUPER fun session!!  I think I actually got a few of these up on Facebook, but not the blog!!

Several things made this session special to me... aside from my special clients. :)

First, this was the first time I got a chance to work at a Christmas Tree farm!  I've wanted to for years, even called once, but never got a reply.  Then one of my sweetie pie photog friends told me to msg this particular farm on FB because they were good at getting back with you.  Well, she was right!!  VERY sweet people there at the Silver Creek Christmas Tree Farm on HWY 101 Spur. (A little advertisement for them. ;)

Secondly, my sweet baby boy... well... he's 19, and not always sweet, but he's still my sweet baby boy... made me the CUTEST kissing booth for Valentine's Day last year.  I never got a chance to use it as a prop, but I got plenty of other use out of it as a Smores stand at our family's many firepit parties this past fall!! 

Then I FINALLY got to use it as a prop for this session.  Not a kissing booth, mind you, but a Hot Chocolate stand. 

Another thing that made this session special was that I got to borrow a few thermoses from one of my DEAREST friends vintage collection!!  I had never heard of anyone collecting thermoses before I met Jen and now I see them all over the place!!  I'm so glad she let me borrow a few!  They just tied it all together.

OH... those earmuffs, those boots... that HAT!!!  Roxy rocked it. ;)

This was actually Mr. Jude's 6 month session, but we decided to make it a family affair. :)

I'm considering doing a few Christmas mini session there this year, depending on my schedule and the Christmas tree farms.  We shall see.

Now where would I be without posting my girl, Malley Kate!  Not mine literally, just mine as in, she rocks it for me every session!!!  Though not SO much this one.  I mean, of course she rocked it... out of the park even... just not with as much enthusiasm as she used to do.  Sadly... Miss Malley is growing up on me.  Sigh.  But she did loosen up towards the end and had a little fun with me! :D

 Another momma who knows how to deck out her child!!  Love it!

The one on the right will also grace the walls of the studio! :D

Rome, Ga Child Photographer: The Grodeman Children

One of the things I LOVE about January is that I actually get to do some of the things I don't have time for the rest of the year. I get to update my website and business cards. Play with packaging as I decide what I want to do with it this year, order supplies. I have time to look through my files and enjoy some of the work I did in the previous year... AND do a little blogging!! 

As I was looking through my files this morning I realized that I hadn't put a few of my year end sessions on the blog.  NOT too surprising considering the end of the year crunch.  But what IS surprising is that some of these images were some of my very favorites from the WHOLE YEAR!!  Now I can't have THAT!!  Especially from some of my favoritest kiddos that I've had the privilege of shooting over the years.

So here's a few from the Grodeman's session...

This guy!!  He just gets bigger each year!!  We've got a line backer in the making! And CUUU-ute!

OKAY... so the one on the right is one of my ALL TIME FAVES!!  It's already found a place in my studio!!  I plan on having a wall from just this session in the studio!!! :D

And then Reese!!  He's REALLY got to stop getting so big!  Every year it's like he's grown another FOOT... or two! (linear not limbs... haha!)

I can always count on their mom to have them dressed in the cutest... handsomes... er... coolest I believe it is at this age... clothes!!

Rome, Ga. Childhood Photographer: ~{Cade is TWO: A Picnik in the Woods}~

I thought it funny that I had two Cade's back to back last week.  One a girl and one a boy! :)  Anyways....

I THOROUGHLY enjoyed meeting this sweet family, all the way from Cartersville! ;)  Cade's mom and I schemed until we came up with JUST the right session!!  She went for rural, then I went for picnik and she LOVED the idea!  So yay!!

While gathering my props the morning of, I spied my baseball and mitt and threw them in the bunch, not really thinking about it too much.  When I was setting everything up, Brook said, "It's funny that you brought a mitt and ball, because Cade is ALL about baseball."  YES!!! ;)

Give him a map and he'll conquer the world.

Rome, Ga. Childhood Photographer: ~{Preview-orama... AGAIN}~

So here's my second installment of the Preview-orama.  I've been so slammed with sessions (I say that with the best meaning possible) that I just don't have time to constantly work on previews.  So I'm just posting them all at once. :)

The last two weeks have been lighter... and I am NOT complaining.  They would have been heavier, but I had a couple of postponements, then my sickness had postponed a newborn that I'm DIEING to get my hands on. POOH FOR SICKNESS!

This is one of my very BESTEST friends, Miss Ash! She always reminds me not to take life too seriously and keeps me laughing! I love being able to photograph her sweet Amelia! Love this family TO PIECES!!!

Mr. Wyatt is such a sweet heart!  I always love photographing his sweet little face!!  He has the sweetest momma and daddy too!!

Oh, this little lady was too much fun!! I couldn't believe how much she filled out in just three months! I got to pull out an OLD backdrop for this one.  I used this one when I was just beginning to toy around with the idea of studio photography.  Glad I hung onto.  Had to dig to find it! :)

~{Gray, six months BIG}~

You guys know how excited I get when I get to photograph at a new place!  Well, Gray's momma, Joy, suggested we shoot at her parent's home and WOW!  I am so glad we did!  This place was so unique and BEAUTIFUL!  It was almost like a Oak Hill in the middle of Nowhere, Polk County!  LOL! Just gorgeous!  Great photo spots around every corner.
