Rome's Childhood Photographer... WELCOME!: Sweet Michael ~Winner of a Free Session!!

I have a bit of a history with our local library. Many of you may not know this, but I have been a home school mom for years and years... actually we're going into our thirteenth year. My oldest son, Caleb, is still home schooled. If you're a "HS" mom or know one, then you know that the public library is the HS-er's best friend!

When my guys were much younger we never missed a story time. Of course, the older they got, the less we frequented, but we developed some lasting friendships with many of the librarians and volunteers there. I even worked there for a short stint, not too long before I took my photography show on the road.

Here's one of me and the "gang" of the children's department about a year or so ago. Caleb and I had volunteered at the Halloween party. Didn't my kitty cat ears look splendid!! ; ) You can see what I thought of the nose!! LOOK at CALEB!! Ha ha ha... so funny!! Love these ladies!

So when the summer reading program comes around, I just love that I have something to offer back!! This was my second year donating coupons for their drawings, and though all were handed out last year, I never received one call! (Well there was one lady who called but wasn't impressed with my prices! LOL!! I told her she should check around then! Never heard back from her! = ) This year though I was delighted to hear from two winners... both within the same week. Funny!!

Here's Mr. Michael... what a sweet little boy he is!! I enjoyed chatting with him and his mom as we snapped a few shots in downtown. Bless his heart... it was SO COLD!! For the few that we had him take his coat off for, he would shiver so badly, that I could barely get a proper focus with the camera... so we'd hurry him back into his warm coat!!
