Did you see the name of this post? If not... it bears repeating...
2 0 1 2.... WoW! What a YEAR!
I am amazed as always at how much the human mind can consume... and learn... and grow in a year!!!
This has been a year of growth in many ways for me.
Another year older and another year wiser I guess...
Unfortunately that 'nother year older is causing some big time changes for Bella in 2013!!!
As I mentioned earlier, I will no longer be doing weddings. I've had SO many people ask WHY, WHY , WHY... so here it goes!!
I was diagnosed about three or four years ago with Rheumatoid Arthritis. (RA) For those of you who aren't familiar with the disease, RA is a autoimmune disorder where your immunity system attacks the synovium which is a thin layer between your joints causing swelling and sever pain throughout the body. (YEP... straight from Google. ;) )
I've been very blessed to have been able to control the swelling and pain, for the most part, with my diet, for years... but there are other contributing factors that can also bring about a flair-ups as well. Exhaustion, stress and sever heat!!! Now if those three words don't describe the work life of a wedding photographer, then I don't know what does!! LOL!! Ever looming deadlines... long exhausting days of shooting in the hot months of June, July and August! I had already given up shooting weddings during the summer months last year, because of the pain those days brought about.
Now PLEASE don't get me wrong! I have thoroughly enjoyed photographing weddings!! It's really been a dream come true!! But I'm going to have to focus on a little less exhausting and stressful area of photography... which I happen to absolutely adore!
Newborn photography!!
Of course, I'll still be offering Motherhood (maternity) childhood... (from Newborns to graduating seniors and all of the lovely events in between), and Families!!
My sweet and faithful clients who still insist that I do their portfolio shots, I'll def keep working with you! Gotta change things up every now and again!! ;)
I would like to send a HUGEMUNGUS shout out and THANK YOU to Dixie Bagley at The Farm who has been such a joy to work with and who has sent me so many of her beautiful brides!! Love you lady!!
Blessing, Bellas, on your new year!! Hoping all your fondest dreams come true!!
HUGS... and ciao Bella!
Christy C
PS. I will still be taking small events! No more than four hours long.
