Rome, Ga. Rome Celebrity Dance Challenge's Event Photographer: {RCDC Part 1: The FABULOUS Dr. Vargo and Yensen}~

Oh. WOW! I have been waiting a whole year to get to photograph this wonderful event again!!!  Of all the charities I've supported over the years, this one is without a doubt my favorite and so dear to my heart!

The Rome Celebrity Dance Challenge is a fundraiser to benefit the Sexual Assault Center of NWGA and is presented by West Rome Animal Clinic!

Before I go to far, let me give you a little back story!  I love a good back story, don't you? ;)

I met SAC's director, Kim Davis, at her best friends wedding!  I was the photographer... duh... and she was a brides maid.  Later she contacted me to photograph her beautiful family and I enjoyed getting to know them.   I still had no idea what Kim really did for a living until one day she calls me up and tells me about this big event that her place of employment were gearing up for and wanted to know if I'd be interested in doing the publicity photography!  At the time I was still trying to build my business and my brand so I was like, YES, YES, YES... of course! :)  That first year was a wonderful experience.  I learned much from it right along side Kim.  SOOoooo when she asked if I'd be willing to do the honors again... no need to build the brand anymore... no more need to build my business (because I'm already so busy I can barely keep up!)  I was a YES! ;)  I have loved getting to know some of our local Celebs and dancers!

NOW... I was planning to do this gigantic blog today on the entire RCDC 2012 experience, but there is just NO WAY!  The blog would be way too long!  So I'm going to do this in four parts until we've made it through them all! ;)

Part One we start with the winners!  Woo hoo!!

Tehe... I giggle to myself every time I think back to when I met Dr. Vargo and Yensen.  Being raised in the South if the guy has a DR. in front of his name you use it!  PLUS... I didn't know "DR. VARGO's" first name.  So after my fifteenth hundred time of saying Dr. Vargo, he raised his hand and said, "Please call me Joe."  I think I was getting on his nerves with the whole respect thing! ;) I thought to myself, Wow...now that's one down to earth kind of guy!!  :)

This was my second year shooting Yensen and let me tell you... she is one precious lady... with the CUTEST son!! Yensen is a Spanish teacher at Darlington School and a certified Zumba instructor!  Sweet, sweet, SWEET and let me tell you! She can "Shake, shake, shake Senora" like it's nobodies business! :)

Here's just a few...

Nothing more fun than photographing pretty people... and Dr. Joe (I'm sorry, but that's the best I can do!)  you is pretty!

What did I tell you... CUTEST little boy!! And a beautiful momma!  :)

CONGRATULATIONS you two!  You were FABULOUS!

These were are from Dance Works first performance of the night.  I thought these ladies were just loverly! I LOVED all thier lifts and leaps!  Beautiful!

And last but not least... the judges...
