Rome, Ga Actress/ Highfashion Photographer: {The Stunning Stephanie Stewart}

Now, THIS was one amazingly fun session!!  WHY?  Because I had lots of help from some equally amazingly fun... and uberly talented people!!  Lamar Clark, my dear friend from Desoto Beauty Shoppe,  called and asked if I had the time to photograph a good friend of his that was in acting.

The plan:  He was going to do his thang... hair and makeup.   Then, another dear friend, Geri Baisi-Cheeley, owner of The Clotheshorse, would take over from there with wardrobe.  And last, but not least, I got to do my thang! : )

I'll be honest... I was getting a little nervous while waiting for them to finish up with Stephanie.  The sun was setting FAST... and as every good photographer knows, the best lighting to do headshots in is natural light... and my natural light was fading fast.  I had brought along my lighting kit, just in case, but was hesitant to use it.

I was reading the other day, how a photographer should constantly be pushing themselves to do things outside their comfort zones.  If the clients don't push you to do so, then go out and do it on your own. Well, this experience definitely pushed me outside of my comfort zone.  But the writer was SO right!!  I gained so much from this session.  Though not my first night session, definitely my first headshots shot A) At night and B)With the light kit. NOW) Bring on the next!

Stephanie was phenomenal!  She is so talented.  She's been cast in Drop Dead Diva, The Blind Side, Good Deeds, Dance of the Dead (that happened to be filmed in Rome, Ga. : ) and Single Ladies... just to name a few.  I hope all of our hard work, helps you to go even farther, Stephanie!  You are so ready for it! : )

So enjoy just a few from our night time session!!!
HUGS... and ciao Bellas!

One of my favorite outfits from The Clothes Horse!!!

And just to think... if I hadn't been pushed farther outside my comfort zone, I wouldn't have this awesome shot to add to my portfolio! : )  LOVE IT!!  BUT... sorry to all of the drivers who probably got a bad case of fried eyeballs, due to my softbox flashing right at them!!!

Doesn't she have an amazing smile!  It just lights up her whole face.

Lamar is going to shoot me DEAD for posting this picture... BUT I LOVE IT!!!

The awesome thing about working with Lamar and Geri is how in sync we seem to be.  I will have an idea... but hadn't quite decided on it yet, and one of them will say... "Why don't you try this."  and it will be the very thought I hadn't decided on. : )  Love it.  The following is such...  I debated in myself whether or not to try doing some with the ambiance light, being that is was night... and I had left the lens I'd need in the shop.  But as soon as Lamar mentioned it... I had confirmation... and we went and got the lens.  LOL! And then BAM... we got this image!! One of my FAVES... and is hanging in my office! : )

Love this next one, too!!!
